Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD WINDSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V030000 (STRUCTURE: FRAME AND MEMBERS:UNDERBODY SHIELDS). UPON HAVING THE REPAIRS COMPLETED, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT SWAY BAR LINK ALSO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EXCESSIVE CORROSION, BUT WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. NO ADDITIONAL REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 156,503. UPDATED 11/03/11 *BF UPDATED 05/12/2012 *JS
