Consumer Description

THE INTERIOR DOOR PLASTIC THAT HOLDS THE DOOR HANDLE HAS CRACKED AND BROKEN CAUSING THE PARTS TO FALL, CAUSING THE DOOR TO BE ONLY OPENED FROM THE OUT SITE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. A PERSON ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR CAN NOT OPEN THE DOOR UNLESS YOU ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPEN FROM THE OUT SIDE. IT APPEARS THIS HAS HAPPENING WITH THIS VEHICLE ON A LARGE SCALE. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON 3 OF THE 4 DOORS. THE DEALERS WANT 600 TO 700 DOLLARS TO REPAIR EACH DOOR. LOOKS LIKE THE PLASTIC TO MAKE THE PANELS WAS DEFECTIVE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN BEFORE OR EVEN HEARD OF IT UNTIL I STARTED LOOKING ON LINE. THE FIRST AUTO I OWNED WAS IN 1966, I HAVE RETAINED MOST OF THE AUTO I'VE OWNED AT LEAST 8 TO 10 YEARS FROM TIME OF PURCHASE AND NEVER HAVE I SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE THE JEEP BECAUSE THIS ISSUE. *TR
