Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 JEEP COMPASS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE STEERING COLUMN SEIZED AND THE VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY STALLED. THE ENGINE RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMALLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000.
