Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 40 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED WHEN THE AIR BAG WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED, THE HORN BECAME INOPERABLE AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DEACTIVATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 66,500. UPDATED 9/20/11 *CN UPDATED 10/26/11.* JB
