Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE MAGNUM. THE CONTACT STATED THE GEAR SELECTOR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF THE PARK POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPLACED THE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT AND STATED THE DEFECT WAS A COMMON ISSUE; HOWEVER THERE WAS NOT A RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000.
