Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP COMMANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BACK UP SENSOR FAILED WHILE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING LOT AND CRASHING INTO A VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUFFER ANY INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 22,000. UPDATED 09/08/11*LJ THE CRASH SENSOR WAS STUCK INSIDE THE BUMPER, WHICH CAUSED IT TO GO OFF AT ALL TIMES IN REVERSE. UPDATED 10/31/11
