Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRUNK LATCH WOULD SPORADICALLY OPEN INDEPENDENTLY. IN WARMER TEMPERATURES, THE TRUNK WOULD NOT OPEN AT ALL. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ON RECALL AND OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
