Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED BUT THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKES WITH MORE FORCE BUT THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A FENCE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT PRIOR TO THE CRASH, SHE HAD PROBLEMS STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND EXPRESSED THEM WITH THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT SHE JUST NEEDED TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE BRAKES. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
