Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHEVROLET IMPALA EQUIPPED WITH GOOD YEAR RADIAL TIRE P225-55R17 95T, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NUMBER M643HHDR061, SERIAL NUMBER 0266496130292535. THE CONTACT NOTICED THE PASSENGER FRONT TIRE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS LOCATED AT THE TIRE SIDEWALL WHICH HAD A LEAK. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED THEY ADVISED THE FAILURE WAS NOT DUE TO A DEFECTED SIDE WALL. THE DEALER STATED THE CONTACT DROVE OVER AN OBJECT ON THE ROAD CAUSING THE TIRE TO FAIL AND THEY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST FOR THE TIRE REPLACEMENT. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 39,050.
