Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET S-10. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR REPAIRS TO THE TRANSMISSION WHEN THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THE FRAME WAS CRACKED AND DETERIORATING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED BUT WAS AT THE AUTO BODY SHOP WAITING FOR THE NEW FRAME TO BE AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
