2007 ESCALADE EXT ,34K MILES. HEAT SHIELD ON EXH MANIFOLD RUSTED THRU MOUNTS , FELL INTO STEERING COLUMN. STEERING LOCKED IN A RT HAND TURN, WENT LOC, VERY HARD JERK ON STEERING WHEEL BROKE IT FREE. CHECKED PASSENGER SIDE, IT HAD ALSO FALLEN OFF BUT DIDN'T CAUSE ANY PROBLEM. *TR
