I HAVE OWNED A 2001 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO FOR 7 YEARS AND IT HAS BEEN A GOOD CAR FOR ME. A YEAR AGO MY FRONT SEAT BROKE OFF OF THE SUPPORT BEAM AND IT IS MADE OF METAL. I ONLY WAY 180 LBS AND HAVE TAKEN PRETTY GOOD CARE OF THE CAR. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ONLINE I HAVE COME TO FIND OUT THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO A LOT OF JEEPS AND THEY USED CHEAP METAL TO SAVE MONEY. I WILL BE THE FIRST TO SAY I LOVE JEEP BUT THIS IS DANGEROUS FOR ANYBODY RIDING IN ONE. I ONLY HOPE THEY DO NOT USE THIS METHOD IN NEWER MODELS. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS RIDING AROUND IN A SEAT THAT IS NOT HOOKED TO THE CAR CORRECTLY. I HAD A FRIEND WELD THE SEAT BACK TO THE SUPPORT BUT IT WAS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX AS IT HAS BROKEN AGAIN. *TR
