TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THE HOOD LATCH RELEASE WAS RUSTED. THE DEALER ADVISED THE RUST WAS NOT SEVERE ENOUGH WHERE THEY WOULD TAKE ANY LIABILITY FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
