Consumer Description
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 TRIUMPH TT600 MOTORCYCLE. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL LINE SEPARATED AND THE FUEL SPRAYED OUT ONTO HIS CLOTHING. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED IN 2004 UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 04V156000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: DELIVERY: HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS). RECENTLY,THE IDENTICAL FAILURE OCCURRED RELATED TO A DIFFERENT FITTING. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CONTACT HAD CONCERN OF THE POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,367.
