Consumer Description
BROKEN WELDS ON FUEL TANK STRAP BRACKET ON PASSENGER SIDE. CAUSED BRACKET TO FALL OFF AND GAS TANK TO HANG LOW TO AN UNSAFE HEIGHT FROM THE GROUND. DANGEROUS TO AN UNKNOWING DRIVER WHO IS NOT AWARE OF THE TRUE DANGER OF THIS FAILURE. THIS IS HAPPENING QUITE OFTEN ON THIS '01 BMW 3 SERIES FROM THREAD BELOW.
