Consumer Description
SITTING IN TRAFFIC, THE ENGINE REVVED UP BY ITSELF ON MY 2005 TOYOTA TUNDRA SR5 V8. PROBLEM WAS ABATED BY TURNING ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTING. THIS PROBLEM RESULTED IN A MIL ERROR THAT SIDE B OF THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING LEAN. AFTER COMPLETING AN ANALYSIS OF THE PROBLEM, THE FINDINGS ARE THAT THE OXYGEN SENSORS ARE NOT RESPONDING TO SPECIFICATION. IT IS MY FIRM BELIEF THAT THE FIRMWARE ON THE ECM DOES NOT SELF CHECK FOR RUNAWAY CONDITIONS. *TR
