Consumer Description
ON FEBRUARY 27, 2010 WE, THE OWNERS, WERE DETAILING OUR 2007 DODGE DURANGO. IN ORDER TO FULLY DETAIL THE VEHICLE WE OPTED TO REMOVE THE SEATS IN ORDER TO SHAMPOO THE CARPETS. IN REMOVING THE BOLTS BELOW THE MIDDLE SEAT WITH A RATCHET, TWO OF THE BOLT HEADS BELOW THE MIDDLE SEAT SNAPPED OFF. THIS CONCERNS ME DEEPLY THAT THE LITTLE BIT OF MAN POWER EXERTED INTO REMOVING THE BOLTS IS A FRACTION OF THE POWER EXERTED IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. THESE BOLTS WOULD HAVE BEEN EASILY SNAPPED OFF IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. THIS PROBLEM DOES NEED TO BE ADDRESSED IN SOME WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. I HAVE TWO CHILDREN WHO SIT IN THE MIDDLE SEAT OF THIS VEHICLE 100% OF THE TIME AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WONDER IF, GOD FORBID A VEHICLE ACCIDENT OCCURS, THAT THE MIDDLE SEAT, OR ANY OF THE SEATS IN MY CAR FOR THAT MATTER, ARE GOING TO STAY IN PLACE BECAUSE OF THE BOLTS SECURING THEM DOWN. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY. *TR
