Consumer Description
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH HIS SPARE TIRE FELL FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE BEHIND HIM. THE TIRE DAMAGED THE FRONT END AND TWO PEOPLE WERE INJURED. A POLICE REPORT IS AVAILABLE. THE BRACKETS WERE LOOSE AND BENT WHEN THE TIRE CAME OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO NOTICED THAT THE TIRE WAS TOO HEAVY FOR THE BRACKETS THAT HELD IT IN PLACE. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS ALSO CALLED AND WILL BE CONTACTING THE GM MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000. UPDATED 04/01/10 *BF
