Consumer Description

I OWN A 2006 TOYOTA PRIUS. BEFORE I HEARD OF ANY COMPLAINTS OF THE ENGINE REVVING AT HIGH SPEEDS, THIS OCCURRED TO ME WHEN THE CAR WAS ONLY 1 YEAR OLD, WHILE IT WAS IN PARK. THE ENGINE SUDDENLY STARTED REVVING AT HIGH SPEED SHORTLY AFTER I PRESSED THE POWER BOTTOM. I THOUGHT THE ENGINE MAY HAVE BEEN COLD. I WAS STILL IN PARK WHEN I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF, WAITED ABOUT 2 MINUTES, THEN PUSHED THE START BUTTON AGAIN WITH THE ENGINE RETURNING TO NORMAL. AROUND THIS TIME I HAD HEARD OF A PROBLEM WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL CAUSING THIS PROBLEM, BUT IT HAS NOT OCCURRED SINCE. *TR
