Consumer Description

TL* WHILE TEST DRIVING A 2010 TOYOTA RAV 4, IDLING AT A STOP LIGHT, THE ENGINE BEGAN REVVING AT A RAPID PACE. HE THEN RESTARTED THE VEHICLE TO RESUME NORMAL VEHICLE OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, IN WHICH HE NOTIFIED THE SALES MANAGER OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. UPDATED 12/15/09. *NJ UPDATED 12/18/09 THE CONSUMER AND THE SALESPERSON WERE AT A STOP LIGHT. THE CONSUMER STATED HIS FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE, WHEN THE ENGINE BEGAN TO REV VERY FAST. UPDATED 12/22/09
