Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN 350Z. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER FACTORY RIMS WERE CUSTOMIZED AND DIPPED IN A CHROME SUBSTANCE BEFORE THEY WERE PURCHASED. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH THE CHROME RIM SEPARATED. AS CONSEQUENCE HER RISK OF VEHICLE CRASH WAS INCREASED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND SHE RECEIVED A REPLACEMENT SET OF RIMS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WITH THIS MODEL TYPE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 26,000.
