1998 MAZDA TRIBUTE. HOOD LATCH DID NOT ENGAGE . MAZDA DEALER SAID LATCH WORKS AS PRESCRIBED. MAZDA "PEOPLE" SAID NO PROBLEM. COLLISION REPAIR SHOP UNDER CONTRACT WITH DEALER SAYS LATCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. FAILURE OF LATCH AND SAFETY CATCH CAUSED BLOWN UP HOOD. *TR
