Consumer Description
BMW 2009 K1300S STALLS INTERMITTANTLY, USUALLY ON A DOWN SHIFT. HAS OCCURED AT LEAST 75 TIMES IN FIRST 1,956 MILES. USUALLY OCCURS FROM 2ND TO 1ST DOWN SHIFT, BUT HAS OCCURED IN 5TH TO 4TH AND 4TH TO 3RD DOWN SHIFTS. REAR WHEEL LOCKS UP IF CLUTCH IS RELEASED. THE MOTORCYCLE IS REASONABLY QUIET AND WITH A FULL FACE HELMET I HAVE RELEASED THE CLUTCH NOT INITIALLY REALIZING THE MOTORCYCLE SHUT OFF. NO ACCIDENTS TO DATE, BUT A FEW NEAR MISSES. IT'S A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE NOTIFIED BMW AND WAS TOLD THEY ARE WORKING ON THE PROBLEM. NOT VERY COMFORTING WHEN MY MOTORCYCLE STALLED 3 TIMES YESTERDAY (9/7/09). *TR
