Consumer Description

OUR 1998 BUICK REGAL CAUGHT FIRE IN THE ENGINE BACK IN APRIL OF 2006. THE FIRE STARTED ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES AFTER THE CAR WAS PUT PARKED IN THE LOT AT WORK. OBVIOUSLY, I AM JUST LEARNING ABOUT THE RECALL. THIS EVENT WAS NOT OTHERWISE REPORTED TO BUICK. THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES PRIOR TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVING TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. IT WAS A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. I JUST THOUGHT I SHOULD REPORT IT SO THERE IS A MORE ACCURATE REPORT ON HOW FREQUENTLY THIS TYPE OF THING OCCURRED. *TR
