Consumer Description

IN MAY 2008, MY HUSBAND AND I PURCHASED A 2007 FORD TAURUS SES USED WITH 33K MILES FROM THE FORD DEALER. BY DEC 2008, THE CAR WITH 40K MILES WOULD MYSTERIOUSLY CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. THE DEALER STATED THEY RE-TOOLED THE KEYS AND RETURNED THE CAR TO US. LAST WEEK, THE CAR AGAIN CUT OFF IN TRAFFIC. I CHECKED THE INTERNET AND SEE THAT THIS OCCURRENCE IS NOT UNCOMMON WITH FORD CARS. I BRING THIS TO YOUR ATTENTION AS THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO HAVE A VEHICLE ON THE ROAD THAT NO ONE KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON. THE CAR IS NOW BACK AT THE DEALER TO FIX THE "RELAY" SYSTEM. I NEITHER DESIRE SPENDING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD, NOR DO I WANT TO BE IN A "DEATH TRAP" CAUSING A HORRIFIC ACCIDENT. IF FORD DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THESE CARS, THEY NEED TO RECALL THEM ALL AND GET THEM OFF THE ROADS. *TR
