Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH ON NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AS IT APPROACHED A CURVE. A WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND REMAINED LIT UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND THE BRAKES WERE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED, WHICH RESULTED IN A CRASH. THERE WERE NO INJURIES; HOWEVER, THREE VEHICLES WERE DAMAGED. THE POLICE WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE AND A REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND IS CURRENTLY INOPERABLE. NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,596 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 3,273.
