Consumer Description

I HAVE A 2007 PATHFINDER WITH 39K MILES. I FILLED THE GAS TANK UP ON LAST NIGHT. WHEN I PULLED AWAY, THE GAUGE READ FULL. THE NEXT MORNING AS I WENT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, THE GAUGE READ EMPTY AND THE SES LIGHT WAS ON. I CONTACTED THE DEALER WHO ADVISED ME THIS WAS COMMON IN THE PATHFINDER AND IT WOULD COST 400 DOLLARS. I CONTACTED NISSAN CUSTOMER AFFAIRS THAT ADVISED ME THAT THERE IS NO RECALL AND DON'T KNOW THIS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE. AS I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE, I SEE THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS. WHY ARE CONSUMERS NOT AWARE BEFORE MAKING THEIR PURCHASE. *TR
