TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET CORVETTE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V181000 (STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS). THE ROOF DETACHED FROM THE TOP OF HIS VEHICLE. THE DEALER REFUSED TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND REFERRED HIM TO A BODY SHOP, WHERE HE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. THE MANUFACTURER, HOWEVER, ADVISED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE DEALER REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
