Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT OPENED THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AND THE SHARP POINT AT THE BOTTOM EDGE SEVERELY CUT HER RIGHT LEG. SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE DOCTOR FOR TREATMENT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT WAS TAKEN TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM TWICE DUE TO HER LEG INJURIES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS WAS A MANUFACTURER DESIGN DEFECT. SHE WAS HIGHLY CONCERNED OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 27,000. UPDATED 11/07/08 *BF UPDATED 11/07/08. *JB
