Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FORD CROWN VICTORIA. THE STEEL WHEEL WELD IS COMING APART AND THE TIRES ARE LEAKING. THE CONTACT IS CONCERNED THAT THE WELD COULD SPLIT. WHEN HE NOTIFIED THE DEALER THAT THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL, HE WAS INFORMED THAT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER AN OPERATING POLICE VEHICLE, THE RECALL DID NOT APPLY. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 03V279000 (WHEELS). THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 105,000.
