Consumer Description
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY OPENED AND FLIPPED BACKWARDS, WHICH CAUSED THE WINDSHIELD TO CRACK. AS A RESULT, THE RISK OF A SERIOUS INJURY OR CRASH INCREASED. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER IN REFERENCE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V431000 (STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD) AND IS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 48,000.
