Consumer Description
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD F-150. WHILE APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY SWAYED FORWARD THEN CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. AFTER APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL THE RPMS INCREASED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND CAUSED THE DRIVER TO CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WAS MODERATE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS PRIOR TO THE FAILURES. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT IS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 10,031.
