Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY LE. WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIR BAG SENOR WAS NOT OPERATING WITH A CERTAIN WEIGHT OCCUPANCY IN THE SEAT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON A CONSTANT BASIS AND THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR WAS WORKING AS DESIGNED. THE CONTACT WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED, AND THAT THERE WAS NO RESOLUTION FOR THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 112,920.
