Consumer Description

ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS MY SON AND DAUGHTER HAVE HAD THERE HAND CAUGHT IN THE ELECTRIC SLIDING DOOR ON OUR 2006 HONDA ODYSSEY MINIVAN. THE ELECTRIC DOOR BOASTS OF A AUTO REVERSE FEATURE WHEN IT ENCOUNTERS RESISTANCE. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE LATCHING FRONT SIDE OF THE SLIDING DOOR. THERE IS NO SUCH SENSOR ON THE REAR SIDE OF THE DOOR. IN ADDITION, THE REAR SIDE OF THE DOOR IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE MIDDLE AND REAR SEATS. (VERY EASY FOR THE CHILD TO REACH EVEN WHEN PROPERLY SEAT BELTED IN). IN THE LATEST INCIDENT, MY SON'S HAND WAS BRUISED. IF A LARGER BONE OR EVEN A NECK WERE CAUGHT, IT WOULD BE BROKEN OR WORSE. *TR
