Consumer Description
FOR 5.4L V8 TRITON SOHC 1999-2002 SPARK PLUG BLOW OUT FROM CYLINDER HEAD. ITS NOT BEEN TWO YEARS AND THIS IS THE 3RD TIME IT HAS HAPPENED AT A COST TO ME OF $4600. PLUG INSTALLED IN ASSEMBLY BLEW OUT, HAD REPAIRED, IT BLEW OUT, HAD IT REPAIRED AGAIN BY A CERTIFIED FORD DEALER. IT LASTED MONTH & HALF. NOW WANT TO REPLACE CYLINDER HEAD WITH SAME POOR DESIGN HEAD PUTTING ME BACK WHERE I WAS 3 PLUGS AGO AND READY TO SPEND $4600. MORE. THERE IS ONLY 4 THREADS HOLDING ANY AND ALL PLUGS. DESIGN FLAW. I WORK IN AVIATION, IF OUR BLADES STARTED BLOWING OUT, THEY WOULD GO THROUGH THE CABIN KILLING PASSENGERS AND THEN PLANE WOULD CRASH KILLING THOSE LEFT. THERE WOULD BE A GOV INVESTIGATION ON ONE INCIDENT. PLEASE CHECK TO SEE THAT THOUSANDS OF OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN. THEY WILL RECALL FOR CRUISE CONTROL BUT NOT FOR POOR DESIGN CYLINDER HEADS. WHAT GOOD IS A VEHICLE WITHOUT AN ENGINE? *TR
