Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD EXPLORER. HE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID #07V336000) IN AUGUST OF 2007. THE DEALER DISCONNECTED THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL BECAUSE THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE HOWEVER THEY DID NOT KNOW THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. AS OF JANUARY 3, 2008, THE DEALER HAD NOT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 140,000 AND THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. UPDATED 03-04-08 *BF
