TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT HEARD A CLUNKING AND GRINDING NOISE. THE FAILURE WAS NOTICED WHEN MAKING A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN AND APPEARED TO ORIGINATE FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
