Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET UPLANDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER SLIDING DOORS WERE MALFUNCTIONING. HE STATED THAT ONE OUT OF EVERY TEN TIMES, THE DOORS ATTEMPT TO CLOSE, CATCH ON TO THE LATCH MECHANISM, AND THEN POP BACK OPEN. HE ALSO STATED THAT SOMETIMES THE DOORS WILL CLOSE BUT, AFTER A FEW MINUTES, THEY WOULD OPEN AGAIN. NHTSA DEFECT INVESTIGATION NUMBER PE07044 APPLIES TO THIS VEHICLE'S YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL. THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT WILLING TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 250 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
