Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 4X4. THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH. HE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND THEN IT SHUT OFF AND BEGAN TO COAST. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED, BUT SHUT OFF AGAIN. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL ON JULY 11, 2007 REGARDING THE TIPM. THE DEALER CURRENTLY HAS THE VEHICLE, BUT CANNOT GET IT TO START. THE RECALL NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 4,260.
