Consumer Description

REAR SLIDING PASSENGER DOORS FAIL TO CLOSE WHEN USING AUTO CLOSE FEATURE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND EACH TIME THE DOORS ARE SERVICED. SHORTLY AFTER BEING SERVICED THE DOOR STOP LATCHING CLOSED AGAIN. THE DOOR SLIDE HARDER ON THE VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH THE AUTO CLOSE FEATURE SO SOME OPERATORS WILL USE THE AUTO FEATURE AND THEN LATCH THE DOOR BY MANUALLY PUSHING ON IT. MISCOMMUNICATION HAS LEAD TO DRIVING WITH THE DOOR NOT LATCHED. WHEN DRIVING WITH DOOR UNLATCHED THE POWER LOCKS, AND INTERIOR LIGHTS MAY CYCLE ON AND OFF CAUSING A DISTRACTION TO THE DRIVER AND INCREASE RISK OF ACCIDENT. *NM
