Consumer Description

MY REAR BUMPER WHICH IS A TOW BUMPER JUST STARTED RUSTING AFTER THE 36 MONTH WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED. I HAVE AN EXTENDED BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, BUT I WAS TOLD THIS WAS NOT COVERED. I WAS ALSO TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST ONE THAT THEY HAD SEEN. THEY SUGGESTED THAT MAYBE IT WAS BAD PLATING WHICH WAS CAUSING THE RUST . THIS IS A COSTLY REPAIR ABOUT $575.00 I JUST DON'T WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO BE CAUGHT OFF GUARD AND TO WATCH THEIR REAR BUMPER FOR DEFECTS. *JB
