Consumer Description
I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW VEHICLE IN OCTOBER OF 2005 A 2006 MITSUBISHI EVOLUTION MR. AROUND LATE DECEMBER OF 2005 THE CLUTCH WOULD NOT GO INTO 6TH GEAR. I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP FROM WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE OF THE PROBLEM AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT'S GET IT CHECKED OUT. THE DAY BEFORE I WAS TO TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THE CLUTCH COMPLETELY FAILED THIS WAS ON JANUARY 26 OF 2006. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AFTER A FEW DAYS THE DEALERSHIP NOTIFIED ME THAT I WAS AT FAULT FOR THE WAY I DROVE THE CAR. I EXPLAINED MY SITUATION OF THE PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING WITH THE CLUTCH TO THE DEALERSHIP AND MITSUBISHI HEADQUARTERS. THEY FOUND I WAS AT FAULT. I CALLED THE FRESNO B OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR AND THEY INVESTIGATED MY CLAIM ABOUT THE CLUTCH. FB OF AR SAID THEY COULD NOT DO NOTHING BECAUSE THE CLUTCH IS NOT A WARRANTY ITEM FOR MITSUBISHI. SO I PURCHASED AN AFTERMARKET CLUTCH THAT THE DEALERSHIP INSTALLED AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND THE CLUTCH WOULD STILL NOT GO INTO 6TH GEAR. I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP OF THE CONTINUING PROBLEM AND TOLD ME THAT THEIR TECHNICIAN SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE, I TOOK THE CAR THE VERY NEXT DAY AND THE DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED MY CLAIM. THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR A FEW DAYS AND TOLD ME THAT THEY BELIEVE IT WAS A SYNCHRO IN THE TRANSMISSION AND REPLACED IT AFTER A FEW DAYS. A FEW MORE DAYS PASSED AND I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY CAR. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY CLUTCH IS NOW STUCK ON 2ND GEAR AND DON'T KNOW WHY THAT IS. I TOOK THE CAR JANUARY 28,2006 TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IT IS NOW MARCH 28,2006 AND THE DEALERSHIP DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR OR WHEN I WILL GET IT BACK. *JB
