Consumer Description
DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE MORE THAN 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS PUSHED SLIGHTLY, LOUD POPPING NOISE WAS HEARD, AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL THEN WENT TO THE FLOOR. IN TURN THE ENGINE WAS AT FULL ACCELERATION. THE BRAKES WERE UTILIZED UNTIL THE VEHICLE COULD BE RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP. UPON INSPECTION THE THROTTLE CABLE WAS FRAYED. IT WILL BE REPLACED AT CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACT, AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. *AK UPDATED 01/11/05. *JB
