Consumer Description

I HAVE A 2000 FORD F-150 4WD SUIPERCAB PICKUP. ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, THERE IS A CRACK STARTING IN THE SHEET METAL. IT IS CURRENTLY LOCATED TO THE RIGHT OF THE WINDOW, UNDER THE WEATHER STRIPPING AND IS STARTING TO PROCEED OUT. CURRENTLY IT IS ABOUT 3/8" TO 1/4" LONG. THERE IS ANOTHER ONE THAT APPEARS TO BE STARTING ABOUT AN INCH ABOVE IT. I'M CONCERNED THAT THE CRACK WILL PROGRESS ACROSS THE DOOR AND THE DOOR WILL FAIL. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. A WEBSITE CALLED WWW.F150ONLINE.COM. THERE IS NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS (22 PAGES WORTH) THAT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. I WENT TO A LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT IT IS OFF WARRANTY AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THEY HAVE NO WAY OF FIXING IT. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND HELP US FIX THIS PROBLEM. IT WILL EVENTUALLY ROT OUT. THANK YOU.*AK
