Defect: UNDERSIZED BOLTS, LOCK WASHERS, AND NUTS MAY BEEN USED TO ATTACH THE DRIVER'S PEDESTAL TO THE FLOOR.
Consequence: THIS COULD CAUSE PREMATURE SEPARATION OF THE SEAT ANDSEAT BELT ATTACHMENT FROM THE FLOOR DURING A CRASH WITH POTENTIAL FOR INJURY TOTHE DRIVER; ALSO, BUSES WOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 210.
Remedy: REPLACE NON-COMPLYING DRIVER'S SEAT ATTACHING HARDWARE.
