Defect: VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: VAN CONVERSIONS MODELS BUILT ON FORD 138" E-350 CUTAWAY CHASSIS WITH 5.4L AND 6.8L GAS ENGINES WITH AFTER MARKET FAST IDLE CONTROLS INSTALLED. THESE FAST IDLE CONTROLS WERE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED, CAUSING THROTTLE CONTROL MALFUNCTION.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW BRACKET, VACUUM SOLENOID, AND HARDWARE TO A NEW LOCATION THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO INTERFERE WITH THE FUNCTION OF THE OEM THROTTLE ASSEMBLY. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MARCH 1, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR...
