Defect: Daimler Coaches North America (Daimler Coaches) is recalling certain 2011-2016 Setra S417 TC and 2012-2016 Setra S 407 CC vehicles equipped with a Ricon wheelchair lift. The red beacon lighting on the Threshold Warning System (TWS) may not be bright enough. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 403, "Platform...
Consequence: Beacons that do not provide proper illumination may be less visible to wheelchair lift users, increasing the risk of injury.

Consequence: If the control arm loosens, it could reduce the driver's ability to control the direction of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Setra Luxury Coaches (Setra) is recalling certain model year 2011 through 2013 Setra S417 TC motorcoaches manufactured between May 2009 and March 2013 and model year 2012 and 2013 S407 motorcoaches manufactured between August 2010 and March 2013. Moisture can enter the remote diagnostic electrical connections socket in the engine compartment causing corrosion in the socket.
Consequence: Corrosion in the socket can lead to a short circuit, possibly resulting in a fire.
