The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 55-60 MPH, the ABS warning light was illuminated, and the contact decelerated to 40 MPH and drove a mile. The contact stated that the passenger's side front end made an abnormal sound and collapsed, and the contact was able to coast to the side of the road. The contact then noticed that the front passenger's side tire had detached, the brake lines were leaking, and the front axle was fractured. And there was fire underneath the passenger's side front end of the vehicle. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. It was unknown whether a fire department report was filed. The police officers arrived at the scene, but it was unknown whether a report was filed. I bought this vehicle used and have had nothing but issues with the factory OEM Air Ride Suspension. Driving down any road, it will dump the air in the rear completely, sometimes it will dump the air on just the drivers side front and rear. I get dash warnings saying the air suspension is overheating and needs to cool. The local Dodge Dealer where I bought it knows about the problem and only advised me to replace it with aftermarket suspension. I bought an extended warranty and I personally believe they didn’t want to warranty the suspension. It will cost me $4-5k to replace with an air delete kit and could be $5-10k for OEM parts depending on what all gets replaced. Now my warranty is expired and it’s all on me. Front suspension has completely bottomed out while the back is all the way raised making the truck sit awkwardly and drive extremely unstable and very roughly. You feel every bump on the road and hitting any kind of hole/bump will cause the truck to jerk. I definitely feel less safe driving this truck. Problem was identified by dealership and been an issue since I have owned it for 2+ years. Warning light has been on for most of the time I've had the vehicle included when I bought it and the dealership attempted to fix it.

ABS Control Module has failed, diagnosed by the Ram Dealer in Cape Coral Fl 9/24. They say repair part not available with no date of in stock for repair. Places driver in danger as ABS and skid control are disabled.

I was driving on a blacktop road doing 60mph when I topped a hill and suddenly the road surface changed to mud and deep puddle of water , as I hit my brakes all the ABS BRAKE AND ANTI SKID LIGHTS on my dash lite up and the tires locked up and i slide almost sideways into a massive puddle of water at a very dangerous angle. The force of it was very difficult to steer my truck back straight to miss the bridge rails that was just yards ahead. Now the dodge dealership tells me the ABS BRAKE CONTROL MUDULE is under engineering review and can't be replaced because it's on back order. So for my safety I've parked it and bought a chevy . Will sell dodge when fixed if part recalled to make dodge fix it please.

The vehicle has an air ride suspension that has failed and after researching the issue it seems that this is an ongoing problem for a lot of owners. Without the air ride suspension the vehicle is difficult to control and until fixed it is also my only mode of transportation.

I purchased my vehicle 2 months ago and no problems were reported to me. After a few weeks my driver side air bags on my suspension do not inflate. The ram air suspension keeps failing causing the car to drop to bump stops and mounts around out of control. The suspension on my vehicle has been repaired multiple times throughout the years. And has failed once again during normal driving operations. It has once again been fixed just to fail within days. Then brought back to the dealership just to fail within hours of it being repaired again. There are also multiple complaints on forums and Facebook pages and websites about the failure.

The component that failed was the air ride suspension. When outside air temperature drooped to 0° then the air ride suspension lowered to the bottom and would not inflate. With this the wheels are out of alignment, tires scrape on fenders when turning and there is no suspension, spring action. I had the truck taken to the Ram repair center, they reset the computer and kept the truck in a warm shop until suspension continued to work. The following week when outside air temperature dropped to 0° the same thing happened. Every year truck suspension goes out. No warning. Where I live the outside air temperature below 0° is common in the winter and can last over a week at a time.

The lower torque Precision control arm. Driver's rear suspension is Worn out, able to move by hand side to side. Causing this truck to fish tail & wiggles on interstate / highway speeds during release of gas pedal. Tires are dry rot size 285 60 20 currently on during the test drive. Brake rear rotors been turned, specs for replacement in question as thin rotors. Brake fluid old for Brake service complete?

Air suspension system failure, while driving at highway speeds the rear end of the truck dropped into entry and exit mode no warning light came on until I came to a full stop after hitting a bump in the road and getting knocked off the road, temperature outside was 13 degrees farenheight. The truck remained in a sagged position until the temperature rose above 35 degrees. Dealer states I need to replace the entire system because they cannot find a leak and there is no way to drain the system of any moisture

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the vehicle was vibrating. There was an abnormal buzzing noise detected. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact then received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 71,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

My pickup rebel "leans". My driver side will be down 2 inches (entry mode) on the stops while my passenger side is in (area mode). It's really unsafe to drive. Has left me stranded a handful of times. Brought it into the mechanics with no prevail. Does it when it is below 32 degrees.

Factory 4 corner air suspension empties and truck lowers when cold. The suspension will drop in cold temps while driving. This then cause a very hard drive that is hard to control especially in snow. Truck suspension was fixed 6 months ago to the best of the dealerships ability. The suspension has dropped 3 times this December during snow storms and almost caused me to ditch the truck and loose control. Dealership is giving me the run around. This is not an uncommon issue the the air suspension according to different dodge forums on the internet. Their is something wrong with entire air system including the electrical system that controls the suspension. So the system could be in normal range but it is actually lowered to the ground.

Steering wheel or suspension.. I had truck aligned plus 4 new tires and still I can’t drive it straight. The back tires are trying to come around and it pushes me sideways toward on coming traffic so I can’t drive at all. Please help. It sounds like a current recall but my vin isn’t included. Air suspension cuts in an out while driving. Causing my vehicle to have zero suspension at highway speeds. Without suspension any little bump in the road is causing the back end of my vehicle to jump around sending me into other lanes. This is a serious issue according to many forums and complaints I have read after purchasing the vehicle.

Air suspension randomly fails to inflate, 1 or multiple bags do not inflate. Drivability is very dangerous as you have no suspension keeping the tires on the ground when going over any bumps on the road. Steering can also be affected as it can lean to one side causing steering pull to that side that is deflated. Loss of control is a factor as well while turning and accelerating, with the harshness of no suspension keeping the wheels in contact of the ground, even little input to the accelerator will put unpredictable power to the wheels usually losing grip putting the vehicle into an oversteer event.

2016 RAM 1500 Air Suspension, I have seen many report of a faulty LEFT REARAIR BAGS dropping to the ground making unsafe to drive. I have seen many people repotting the Left Rear bag issues and when taking to the manufacture they refuse to troubleshooting and locate the issue but wants to replace the entire rear bags and compressor for more than $3000
