TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE STEERING BEARING ASSEMBLY TO FAIL. THE STEERING ASSEMBLY AND THE FRONT TIE ROD ASSEMBLY WERE REPLACED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ENGINE STALLED NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE DRIVING; HOWEVER, THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE A FAILURE CODE FOR THE ENGINE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V529000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,600.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS WOULD NOT WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V038000 (POWER TRAIN), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL NEEDED TO BE CONTINUOUSLY PRESSED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE RESTARTED INDEPENDENTLY; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000. MA 10/5 *CN
EXHAUST STARTED LEAKING IN THE MORNING WHEN IT'S COLD, IT GOES AWAY AFTER WARMING UP, SOUNDS LIKE DONUT GASKET OR EXAUST MANIFOLD.ALSO THE PUDDLE LIGHTS IN THE MIRRORS QUIT WORKING.
WE HAVE HAD THIS TRUCK BACK JUST AFTER WE PURCHASED IT NEW AND THEY PUT A NEW TORQUE CONVERTER IN AND THAT DIDN'T FIX THE VIBRATION. WE HAVE HAD IT BACK SEVERAL TIMES AFTER THAT . WE WERE THEN TOLD THAT WHEN THEY CAME UP WITH A FIX WE WERE BE CONTACTED. ITS STILL VIBRATING AND HAVEN'T HEARD OF ANY FIXES.
MY TRUCKS EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKETS HAVE ALREADY FAILED AT 70,000 MILES, I HAVE A TERRIBLE EXHAUST LEAK AND I KNOW THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN BEAT FOR AN EXHAUST LEAK TO HAPPEN THIS EARLY THERE HAS BEEN MANY ONLY FORMS WITH THE SAME ISSUES SOME WHERE ABLE TO GET IT BY THE DEALER AT NO CHARGE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V635000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL); HOWEVER, THE PARTS NEEDED FOR REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT STATED THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE REMEDY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

MY 2010 DODGE 1500 TRUCK STALLED ON MY WIFE ALMOST GETTING HER IN A WRECK, SHE PULLED IT OVER AND PUT IT IN PARK AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. TOOK IT INTO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE COMPUTER CHIP AND FIXED IT. TWO DAYS LATER WIFE WAS DRIVING IT AGAIN AND IT STALLED. I DROVE IT AND IT DID IT TO ME WHEN I WAS ENTERING ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY IT STALLED AND I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A SEMI, PULLED IT OVER AND PUT IT IN PARK AND IT STARTED UP. BROUGHT BACK TO DODGE AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE SPARK PLUGS. THEY REPLACED THEM AT $225 AT MY COST AND SAID IT WAS FIXED. TWO DAYS LATER THE TRUCK STALLED ON MY WIFE AGAIN. SHE IS SCARED TO DRIVE THE TRUCK NOW BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO GET INTO AND ACCIDENT...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AS THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 50,300.

IN ADDITION, SMOKE WAS SEEN COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AREA. THE CONTACT LATER DISCOVERED THAT THE ENGINE HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE NOR WAS IT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000.
UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING INTO GARAGE. ENGINE RPM INCREASED WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. NOTHING HAPPENED LUCKILY I HAD THE BRAKE APPLIED SO I DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING. ALSO ON THE HIGHWAY A COUPLE OF TIMES THE ENGINE RPM INCREASES BY ITSELF MOMENTARILY CAUSING THE TRUCK TO SURGE. *TR
