Recall 22V596000 — ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Defect: Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2022 M2-106, M2-112, and F550 fire trucks equipped with Weldon V-mux Hercules HC Node 1.5 electrical multiplex modules. An additional resistor was incorrectly installed on the printed circuit board, which can disrupt CAN network communication and cause vehicle lighting to fail.

Consequence: Inoperative vehicle lighting can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Weldon will replace the modules, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 4, 2022. Owners may contact Pierce's customer service at 1-888-974-3723. Pierce's number for this recall is 74B320.
